This logo is for NetApp’s new app and data management solution that is their main offering for Kubernetes ecosystem.

The logo design takes on a nautical theme as a tip of the hat to the Kubernetes logo, which is a 7-spoked ship wheel. To further expand on the nautical theme for the logo, we incorporated the North Star on the ship’s sail, which is also a stylized compass. The vessel we chose for the ship is a Viking drekar ship, since Vikings were known as highly skilled navigators.

The new logo was revealed at an event, and stickers were handed out to adorn the laptops of attendees.
